The worldwide wetlands platform Living Lakes are organising a global event about dissemination of lakes, wetlands and other water ecosystems’ importance, conservation and projects. The event is going to be a 24 hour Global Lake Marathon, celebrated on November the 26th, 2021, coordinated by Global Nature Fund and divided among continents and subcontinents.
The main activities, outcomes and lessons learned from LIFE Peat Restore will be presented during the European and UK session on November 26, between 15:30-17:30 UTC (+0) time. A variety of projects dedicated to different water ecosystems will also be highlighted. The overall theme of this session is the importance of lakes and wetlands in the environment and the importance of its conservation. The session will be moderated by Fundación Global Nature.
